Frequently Asked Questions

I receive lots of correspondence asking me "why" something happened or posing "what if" scenarios to my storylines. I'd like to share a few of the more frequent questions and let you know my thoughts behind my writing.

Keep the questions coming ... I love to hear from you!

Q. Where can I find copies of your older regencies?

A. E-books of my older regencies can be found at http://www.regencyreads.com

Q. Is there going to be a third book in the Hugh de-Leon series?

A. I am sorry to report that the publisher, Harper Collins, canceled the series because (unfortunately) the sales were not high enough. So there will be no more forthcoming about Hugh and Cristen.

Q. What was the present Liam left for Annie under the Christmas tree at the end of That Summer?

A. Use your imagination!

Q. What are some of your favorite books?

A. I loved the Lymond Series by Dorothy Dunnett; Kristen Lavrensdatter by Sigrid Undset; The Golden Bowl and Portrait of a Lady by Henry James; Emma by Jane Austen; A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway; The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald; Gigi by Colette and Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice.

Q. Who are some of your favorite authors?

A. I love anything by Peter Robinson, Daniel Silva, P.D. James, Michael Malone, Lois McMasters Bujold, Luanne Rice, Elizabeth Peters.

Q. When are you going to write another pre-history book?

A. I'm afraid I exhausted my imagination on the books I did write. So little is known about that time - some artifacts and some paintings, but nothing at all about the society- so that one ends up making up an entire world. I wanted to write about the changing roles of men and women in society, and I think I did that. But I'm all written out, alas. Maybe one of these days I'll get the urge to revisit that time, but frankly I doubt it.

Q. Where can I buy copies of The Road to Avalon, Born of the Sun, and The Edge of Light?

A. The Road to Avalon will be republished in May by the Chicago Review Press. Unfortunately, Born of the Sun and The Edge of Light are out of print. Try your local library, or a used book internet site.
