White Horses It's a beautiful book identifying and showing of a variety of horses. The characters are also well developed. Lots of twists and turns. The only problem I have with this novel "White Horses" is that it is too long winded. This novel should have been at least 50 to 75 pages shorter.

I have always been a huge fan of your work because it is so thorough and complete in its period detail. I was hoping that perhaps you would be able to help me out with a book that I am attempting (chuckle) to write. I need to research Regency espionage, but I am a bit at a loss as to where to begin. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

Hot off my enthusiasm for "The Deception" I went out and bought "Royal Bride." Sorry to say I was disappointed. I am not a fan of infidelity. Augustus was weak and cowardly and sent his mother to do the dirty work. I couldn't get behind him after that.

Just stumbled on "The Deception" and now I'm hooked. I love the fact your heroine pulls no punches. When faced with female competition, instead of being polite, she threatens to shoot the conniving woman! I'm so tired of courteous wilting flowers who allow other women to flirt with their men, trusting in fate to make things all right in the end. Your heroine takes control and doesn't care who knows it. How refreshing.

I am very happy to read that you are returning to writing historicals. As a reader who doesn't care for contemporary romances, I have been in mourning for the past two years!

oh yes...I would really like a reply, thanks! any chance of you appearing on the West Coast (I'm at Berkeley) to sign books, tour, etc? Unless White Horses hardback, I kind of doubt it - but I have to ask!
Gina

YES!!! You're returning to historical novels! I liked your contemporaries, but I LOVED your historicals - and I'm looking forward to those from your new contract! Will White Horses be out August 2004 or August 2005? Also: dare I hope for an appearance by Hugh and Cristen in your 2nd book? I was very sad when the series was cancelled. A cameo would be nice! Thank you for continuing to write. I have loved you since I picked up The Horsemasters in junior high (now in college), and The Road to Avalon is still one of my all-time favorite books (the other one is Lois McMaster Bujold's A Civil Campaign). Every few years, I leave you a note :-) I am an all-time, true-blue fan! Thanks again!

Dear Joan Wolf, you won't believe me if I tell you that I found out about your books in the subway station. A fellow passenger was reading you "the poisoned serpent". It took me awhile to find out who the author was since she was sitting in my opposite direction. Immediately that night I searched the internet and ordered you you book "The royal bride" and what can I say i won't be ale to resist your passion for writing. Thank you!!!!

I am a devout garage saler - my buying is limited to books & music, I found the Road to Avalon for fifty cents and have read and re read it several times. I am a King Arthur freak and have quite a library of Arthurian fiction Even had a dog I named Guinevere! I really liked the normality of the life you created for Arthur and Morgaine - and the plausibiity of their relationship. I' searching the library for related books of yours and I know I'll enjoy them. Thanks!

Ms. Wolf, Thank you very much for sharing your writing gift with the world. You have brought me many, many hours of romance, excitement and intrigue when those were the exact things I needed. I'm sure the same goes for scores of other readers around the globe. You have a delicate touch with the pen that leaves a dramatic mark on the heart and memory of the reader. Again, thank you. ~ Casey

Oops - hit the wrong button. Just wanted to say I was at the book store last night for an hour looking for a romance book and I just couldn't find anything I wanted to take home. So, I picked up a Joan Wolf book favorite and within 10 minutes I was engrossed and happy. I have many, many of your books, and I never get tired of rereading them. You never fail to keep my happy with your stories, never disappoint. Thank you!

Dear Joan, Your novel "That Summer" had me glued to page after page of absolutely wonderful and creative writing. I close my eyes and imagine being in Virginia and I even felt the character's personalities as if they were my own. Once again you've outdone yourself! Truly beautiful writing and a great stocking stuffer.

Hi, I just finished reading Beloved Stranger, your writing is amazing, the characters are so interesting and the relationships were so real, please tell me you plan on writing more of this story. It was too short, the end had me guessing what happened after that, I plan on reading more of your books soon, but I know Beloved Stanger will still be my favorite!

Hi Joan, The first book I read by you is "The Arrangment" and I fell in love with it!! Tops my list of favorite romance novels. I then looked up your site and found this message board and all the rave reviews of The road to avalon. So I searched for it at the Library and fell more in love. It was the most moving passionate historical book I have read and moves along quickly. I then found the other two in the serise Born of The Sun and Edge of The light. I loved them as well. I even got my mother to read the who is a hard core Mystery fan and she detests romances. But she was enraptured by them! Wonderful stories. Hope you are well and thanks for lighting up my life!
